This document describes update process
FROM: Skadate (11050). Platform version: 1.8.4 (10840)
TO: Skadate (11120). Platform version: 1.8.7 (11120)
VIA: patch_2.0.2
IMPORTANT: This update patch updates website's back end only ( desktop site). If you have web ( PWA) or native apps, you will have to compile/install/submit new (2.0.2) version of apps.

- Make sure your hosting meets minimal SkaDate requirements: https://www.skadate.com/hosting-requirements . Mainly: at least PHP 7.0 (this update patch also supports PHP 7.1,7.2 and 7,3) and MySQL 5.0-5.6
- Back up your current source code
- Back up your current database
- Deactivate third party plugins
- Disable external caching if any (Ex: CloudFlare)
- Save changelog of custom php/html modifications ( if any). Update will erase custom changes done directly in PHP/HTML files. If custom modifications were performed by SkaDate Custom Plugin Development department contact [email protected] .
- Download "patch_2.0.2" update package from: https://hello.skadate.com/index.php?rp=/download/category/43/Update-Packages.html
- Open your website's root directory using File Manager, FTP client or command line.
- Upload patch_2.0.2.zip file into website' root directory ( ex: public_html). Tip: if you see ow_core or ow_includes folders - you are in website's root directory. If you don't- you are in a wrong location
- Unzip patch_2.0.2.zip file
- Visit Admin Panel of your website. Proceed with updating plugins' database data. Following plugins will request a DB update:

- SkaDate System Tools
- Hot List
- PayPal Billing
- Who Viewed Me
- Paid Membership
- Photo
- Location Maps
- User Search
- Messages
- Matchmaking
- Virtual Gifts
- Bookrmarks
- Winks
- Contact Us
- SkaDate Premium Templates
- Privacy
- Custom Index
- Video Instant Messenger
- Check software version: at the bottom of any admin panel page make sure your version is Skadate (11120). Platform version: 1.8.7 (11120)
- Clear website cache using DEV MODE. Configuration:
define('OW_DEV_MODE', 34);
. Make sure to set DEV MODE back to "false" after single page refresh - Activate back third party plugins one by one
- Add custom modifications ( if any)
- Enable external caching ( if any was present before update).
- Optional: activate and configure new plugins that come with this update in Admin Panel > Plugins > Available plugins:
