Twitter Cards

Twitter Card is a handy tool offered by Twitter to attach rich photos, videos and media experience to Tweets that drive traffic to your website.

In simple terms, when a link to your website is shared in Twitter it will automatically display this link as a card in format of your choice.

This tutorial covers only changes that must be done within SkaDate software to successfully add Twitter Card your site. Detailed steps about the whole process can be found in Twitter's official Twitter Cards guide.

  1. Select a Card Type. Ex:Summary Card with Large Image
  2. Copy Card's sample code and paste into .txt document for further adjustments. Ex:
    <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image">
    <meta name="twitter:site" content="@SkaDate">
    <meta name="twitter:creator" content="@SkaDate">
    <meta name="twitter:title" content="Best Dating Software">
    <meta name="twitter:description" content="We offer native iOS and Android apps for your own mobile dating business. This is not just a Tinder-clone app, it’s the complete, monetizable mobile app suite with plenty of features to choose from, made by the leading technology provider for dating businesses since 2004.">
    <meta name="twitter:image" content="https://www.skadate.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/xsnap001.jpg.pagespeed.ic.ooOv_Wp6js.jpg">
  3. Replace attribution and content with your own data.
  4. If you are using “twitter:image” attribution go to Admin Panel of your SkaDate website » Appearance » Customize » Graphics » Upload desired image » Copy image URL » Paste URL into “twitter:image” attribution's content.
  5. Review the final code for any mistakes.
  6. Go to Admin Panel » Settings » Page Settings » paste your code into Custom head code section. Save your changes.
  7. Test your card using Twitter Card Validator.
  8. Share any link to your website using live Twitter account.
