The User Credits plugin provides a site monetization advantage by allowing the Administrator to sell credits to users, who can then spend them on certain site features or actions.
To be able to use the User Credits plugin on your site, you should first set up a payment provider. |
Go to Admin Area > Plugins > Installed Plugins.1)
Find the User Credits plugin - move mouse cursor over it, and click the Settings button.
You will be directed to the Credit rewards page.
Here you will see the list of the actions a site user can perform to earn or spend credits.
Every action can be configured to either earn credits to a user, or make the user spend them. Exception is the Virtual Gifts feature that won't allow users to earn credits. The list of actions is divided into three sections:
1. Receiving credits - this is the list of actions allowing users to receive credits to their balance.
If you want users to earn credits for a certain action - enter a positive value for it.
2. Losing credits - this is the list of actions users spend credits for.
If you want users to spend credits for a certain actions - enter a negative value for it.
3. Setup - this is the list of the non-configured (free) actions.
If you don't want a certain action to be credits-dependent - enter 0 for it.

There are two ways for a user to receive credits:
1. Purchase credits in a Credits Package (credit packs).
You'll need Credit packs to sell pre-defined amounts of credits to users.
You can create credit packs after setting up the value for each action.
1. Go to Admin Area/Plugins/Installed Plugins
2. Find the User Credits plugin, move the mouse cursor over it, and click the Settings button.
3. Click the Credit packs for purchase tab.
Add a new pack:
If users should be able to grant credits to each other, check the Allow users grant credits to each other box in the Settings tab.
2. Site Administrator can give credits manually to a user right from the user's page.
To give credits manually - you should go to the user's profile and click the Credits button in the Moderation menu.
Enter the number of credits you'd like to give to the user, and click the Save button.
To buy more credits, a user should go to their Dashboard page and click the Buy more button in the My credits widget.
The system will redirect them to the Buy credits page, where they can choose a credit pack they'd like to buy, and proceed to checkout.
